Holy Spirit Weekend

Our annual Holy Spirit Weeekend is coming up February 10-12.  This year, our facilitator is Bruce Jackson.  Our weekend begins on Friday evening from 7-9 pm.  On Saturday, we will meet from 9AM - 4PM and Sunday will begin with our celebration service, followed by an afternoon session from 1PM  - 3PM.  This is a weekend you will not want to miss, so please sign up at the back table on Sunday or by calling the church office.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Childcare Provided

We will be providing childcare for all sessions as a fundraiser for our youth ministry.  If you are in need of childcare, please contact the church office to sign up and get the details.   

Energize Meets Sunday Night!

We have a group of 4th-5th graders fired up about Jesus meeting February 5th from 6-7:30pm at the South Windsor Fire Department Company 2.  We hope to see you there!

 Sound Crew Help Wanted!

The NRCC Sound System Crew is still in need of help on Sunday Monrings.   If you are able to help with the set up and tear down of the worship team equipment, please contact Eric Weiss at 860.604.3401.

Meal Ministry

Do you enjoy cooking?  Do you enjoy helping others? If so, please join our meal ministry!  If you are interested, please contact Maria Pierce at mpearce@sbcglobal.net.  We have a few immediate needs, so a prompt reply is appreciated.

New River Covenant

Last Sunday, we celebrated our annual "Covenant Sunday".  Is God asking you to join in with what He is doing through New River Church this year?  It's not too late to be a part of God's work here!  The membership covenant is available for you to sign this week.

Missions Festival

On February 16-19, we will be hosting Chuck and Betty Ostlie as part of our missions weekend.  The Ostlies have served in Chile for the past 31 years and will be sharing what the Lord has been doing there.  If you would like to have a meal with them, or have them visit your life group, please see Pastor Doug or contact the church office.

Building Update

Thank you for praying as our team met with a potential landlord this past Tuesday.  Though it appears that this lease will not work for us, we trust God to provide.  Let's keep praying!

Nursery

Are you looking for a place to volunteer in 2012? If so, please prayerfully consider the Nursery.  Our little ones need some helping hands.  Please contact Janel at the church office.  Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Food Pantry

Our food pantry is up, running and being utilized.  We are taking donations of non-perishable food items to replenish our supplies at the church office.  If you would like to donate or need help, please contact Darrell and Doreen Perillo at 860.644.3940.
