“The Net”

Heaven touches Earth, part 8

OPENING QUESTIONS:

1. What is the messiest room of your house?  (or perhaps it is a drawer in your kitchen)
2. What ‘treasures’ might be found if one were to sort through that messy room?

DIGGING DEEPER:

1. READ Matthew 13:47-52.
2. What does “the net” teach us about how the Kingdom of Heaven operates?
3. Which is more effective: A group of people working to bring the gospel to a city, or one person working alone?  Why?
4. Have you ever had the privilege of leading someone to faith in Christ?  What was it like? 
5. When it comes to evangelism, we often think in terms of “personal evangelism” which refers to what one person can do in sharing their faith with a friend.  If you think about it, that’s like fishing with a pole.  Yet Jesus said the Kingdom operates as a net.  What are some ways that we can become more “net-like” in our approach to evangelism?

GETTING PERSONAL:

1. As a group, what can we do together to bring the gospel to our friends and neighbors?

PRAYER TIME:

            Use this time to minister to one another.  Pray for any who may be sick among you.
