OPENING QUESTION:

1.  Let's swap scar stories.  Who has the coolest scar?  How did you get it?

DIGGING DEEPER:

1.  READ Judges 2:6-15.

2.  Count the generations who are mentioned in this passage. (Joshua, the elders who outlived him, their children.)

3.  So, how many generations before Israel turned away from God?

4.  What do you think contributed to their downfall?  (see Judges 2:1-3)

5.  READ Hebrews 12:1-3.

GETTING PERSONAL:

1.   The Hebrews passage tells us to throw off all that hinders and tangles us up.  What kinds of things tangle up your walk with Jesus?

2.  How long have those things been bugging you?

3.  What can we do to help you out?

PRAYER:

Pray for each others 'knots'.  Ask God to break through and grant them strength to overcome.
