Cell Matters to follow up with Sunday, February 19.
Opening Question:
1. When you hear the word "missionary" what images come to your mind?
2. If you could get a plane ticket to travel anywhere in the world, where would want to go?
Digging Deeper:
1. READ Acts 13:1-5.
2. During a prayer meeting, the Holy Spirit told the church to send out Barnabas and Saul. From this one snapshot, who is the motivating force behind missions endeavors? (cf-Acts 1:8)
3. One of the things we notice in the bible is that missionaries were sent out in teams. Why do you think this was so?
4. What are the advantages to going with a team? What are the disadvantages?
5. Look at Acts 13:49 briefly. The report is that God's Word spread throughout the whole region. How did God's Word get spread? Does God do it any differently today?
Getting Personal:
1. Every Christian does the same "work". What we do for a job may be different. One may be a salesman, the other an engineer, but our "work" is all the same. Our work is being missionaries. Do you agree with this or disagree? Why?
2. READ Romans 10:14-15. Think through the people whom God has placed in your life. How will God use you to give them the good news about Jesus?
Prayer:
Pray for one another's witness. Ask God to give you more boldness in sharing your faith.
